Worry Not and Attract a Lot!
By Paul Piotrowski on Apr 3, 2007 in Law of Attraction, Spirituality
Last week I wrote an article that claimed that Multiple Intentions Multiply Your Results when using the Law of Attraction. Since then, I’ve become so much more aware just how important this is. It was something that I did naturally before so I wasn’t really thinking that it was a big deal, but now that I’m aware of how multiple intentions are beneficial to using the Law of Attraction I’m seeing the benefits everywhere.
What I wanted to focus on today is the concept of “worry” when it comes to the Law of Attraction. Worry is a dissipating energy that really drains the life out of your intentions. Most beginning practitioners of the Law of Attraction already have a hard enough time creating enough positive energy to attract intentions at a decent enough pace to visibly illustrate that the Law of Attraction is at work. When they mix the energy of “worry” into the mix, it obliterates any hope of success.
What does worry energy feel like? Worry energy can be very subtle or it can be completely obvious. It’s can be a nervous “worry thought” running an endless loop in the back of your mind, or it can be right up front sometimes even manifesting itself in physical symptoms like nervousness, butterflies in the stomach, indigestion, irritability, stress etc.
How does worry energy affect intentions? Worry energy is the silent killer of intentions. It undermines the energy you’ve put into your intentions and slows things down to a crawl. I have seen just how quickly I can manifest intentions that are deeply rooted in beliefs and a worry free (trusting) attitude. I have also seen just how slow things can get when I begin to worry about an intention. It’s like everything that could possibly go wrong, all of a sudden does! When it did, I used to worry even more!
What can we do to neutralize worry energy? The best thing I have found is to have multiple intentions. As I mentioned in my previous article, I often have 60+ intentions going on at once in my life in all different categories. Because of this, on any given day I am seeing progress and “flow” in at least a few and sometimes in quite a few of the intentions so it’s really easy for me to stay in an energy pattern of gratitude instead of “worry”. You might have heard that it is not good to get attached to the outcome when setting intentions and that’s exactly what I do. I set an intention, and I put a lot of positive energy behind it, but I don’t worry about it. I set it, put energy behind it, and move on. I don’t stick around to even have time to worry. I believe this is the biggest mistake people make. They set one intention, try to apply Law of Attraction to it, and then they sit there worrying and wondering why it hasn’t worked yet, not realizing that their worry energy is pushing it away.
If you do what I do and work on multiple intentions in multiple categories of life, you’ll soon start to see progress and perfectly synchronized “flow” in your life. Worry will disappear and then the flow will get even better.
Here’s a 6 step process I follow for this:
- Set multiple intentions in multiple categories of your life. Write them down. Get excited and apply emotional energy to each of the intentions as you create them. Even if it takes you a month to go through and set a bunch of intentions (goals if you like to call them that) it will be well worth it. I wrote an article on Ultimate Goal Setting Made Easy you could check out as well.
- Open up your senses and pay attention. Be aware in the present moment. The universe will begin to flow things in your direction that help you achieve one or more of your intentions. Pay attention and take action! If you take action, and things are rolling along nicely, keep moving. Don’t stop, don’t allow yourself to pause and worry about tomorrow. Just focus on being most effective in the present moment. When your actions become “stuck” all of a sudden and nothing seems to “work”, maybe you’ve gotten as far as you can with this intention for now and it’s time to take a break from it for a while. Look around, what else is waiting for you for your other intentions? If you feel like nothing you’re doing is moving you forward for that specific intention, stop and move to something else for now.
- Try not to create self-imposed deadlines for your intentions if you don’t have to. If it’s something that must be done by a specific date/time, that’s fine, but I hardly ever set deadlines for my goals/intentions. Instead, my deadline is simply “at the perfect time in my life.” and I trust the universe to deliver it not a minute before and not a minute after that time. This is somewhat counter-intuitive for people at first. They feel like if they don’t create a deadline, then there’s no urgency. I can create urgency without deadlines. I use positive urgency, not the negative fear energy created by “dead”lines. The other benefit of this is that in a lot of cases the universe will deliver much quicker than your original deadline would have been anyways. By not setting deadlines unless they are truly needed, you eliminate a lot of worry. This is because we all know that as long as we’re moving in the right direction and we don’t give up, we’ll eventually reach our goals and that positive energy is what we can feed off of.
- When you finally complete the attraction process of one of your intentions, you will very often clearly see how it came at the perfect time. In that moment, it’s time to take a minute to be grateful. Acknowledge that special part of you inside that made this possible. Acknowledge the universe, God, a creator, or whatever spiritual supreme being you believe in (even if it’s science for you) and be grateful for the experience you gained attractive this intention. Then jump back to #2 where you open up your senses and pay attention. Just after you expressed gratitude is one of the best times to try to become aware of your surroundings and where you are, who is with you, how things are playing out and what possible signs of flow are showing up for you.
- As you knock intentions off your “Intention List”, make sure you replace them with new ones. They don’t have to be materialistic intentions at all either. You could have intentions to smile more, laugh more etc.
- Don’t be desperate. Never be desperate. If you’re desperate, something is wrong. You have to learn to have infinite patience with your intentions. You may set an intention today that won’t even be realized for a year and a half, but so what? It doesn’t mean you give up. It means you flow other things into your life from your other intentions. The universe will give you what you need at the perfect time. Not a minute sooner. To illustrate this point, I’ll share a little story that just happened to me.
In February I bought a house that we will be moving out to (in April) and at some point I realized that I’m going to probably need to transport wood and building supplies for some of the renovations and projects I am looking forward to working on out there. A few days later I got a call from my brother asking me if I’m at all interested in buying a van because someone he knows is selling one. This was perfect, because the van was used for construction and it was big enough to carry anything and everything I would ever need. So I went to buy it. (Flow). Then when we got there, the guy couldn’t sell it anymore because he just got a construction project so he needed it for another few months. Of course my primary need for the van is during moving time and right after we move in (April) not some time in May or June, so it didn’t look like things were working out. (Stuck!) So he said he’d call within a week and let me know if he can sell it. (Moving on.) A week went by, but I wasn’t worried. Another week later I checked in to find out what’s going on and he still wasn’t interested in selling it. (Try different angle) I wanted the van because my move-in date was just a few weeks ahead so we called to offer a higher price but things still didn’t work out. (Moving on again) April 1st came around, we got possession of our house, still no van. No big deal since we’ll be renting a moving truck anyways, but it would have been nice to have a van to move even just some of the boxes and breakables whenever we head out to the new house. April 2nd, first thing in the morning I get a call and the guy now wants to sell the van and we even negotiate a lower price. I went to pick it up, a now I’ve got a van. Intention manifested.
This may not seem like a very powerful example (whoopee I bought a van!), but it contains all the elements I’m talking about. I set this intention along with many many others. An opportunity presented itself so I took action. When I got stuck, I tried a different path. When it became clear that things weren’t meant to work out just yet, I pulled back and just waited patiently. In the last minute the universe pulled though and delivered the van to me at the exact perfect time for me to move some boxes out to my new place tomorrow morning. :) Was I worried at any point throughout this process? Nope! Why? Because I wasn’t attached to this outcome. I didn’t get upset when the guy changed his mind. I just moved on and waited. In the meantime, I’ve been too busy with my other intentions like attracting my Nintendo Wii console to worry about this one. When my Nintendo Wii came in last week, I just used the gratitude energy from that sucker to really energize my other intentions and look what happened this morning? The van I wanted, magically became available the exact day I need it for an even lower price.
The only thing that worrying accomplishes is to drive your intentions away. Get rid of worry energy, replace it with trust energy, and your life will never be the same. It won’t happen overnight, but you too can become worry-free and really enjoy the results of the Law of Attraction.

Great post! It reminds me of that phrase, “If you don’t want to get stuck, keep moving!” I love the example of the van, especially since I’ve recently moved ourselves. We couldn’t get our old rec room couch into our new TV room - it just wouldn’t fit through the door. So “new couch” went on the intent list. With all the other expenses of moving, we weren’t in a hurry to spend more on furniture. Yesterday my husband drove by the neighbour’s where they’re tearing down their cottage and building a new hosue … guess what was sitting at the end of their driveway with a sign on it saying, “please take!” Yes, a couch. A green couch. The TV room is mainly green. You just gotta love that “flow” thing!

Hehe, yeah, it’s great! The van proved to be most useful today. By the way, “flow” is our natural way of being. We actually have to work to get out of “flow”. We’re just so conditioned in our habits that it seems like we have to work to be “in flow”, but it’s actually the other way around. But, that’s another article.

Nice Inspiring Post.
Recently, I just got to read a report relating to the Law Of Attraction.
Think that may be useful to anyone who wants to improve their lifes.
It is a free Attraction report by Stephen Pierce and Bob Proctor on the Science Of
Getting Rich.

I share your sentiments. The more we worry, the more helpless we become.
I recently came across Bob Proctor (of THE SECRET fame) in an interview where he shared his thoughts on how one can accelerate the Law of Attraction.
Makes for a good reading:

Worry NOT!

As I said in an article that I recently did on my blog, “Worry feeds doubt. Doubt feeds fear. Fear feeds more worry.” It is a vicious circle. Stop worrying and you stop feeding the cycle. The best way to do this is to Let Go and Let God. Take the necessary steps to achieve what you want, then turn the results over to God. Great article.
